Israel is preparing to enter the Promised Land—but they are entering a world filled with competing gods, competing loyalties, and competing claims about reality.
In Deuteronomy 4–6, Moses prepares the next generation to live faithfully among the nations. He warns them to remember what they have seen, teaches them what it means to hear and obey Yahweh, and gives them the Shema: “Hear, O Israel.”
At the center of these chapters is a battle for the next generation. Moses commands Israel to weave the Word of God into ordinary life—to speak of it at home, along the road, when they lie down, and when they rise. Their children will be formed by something.
We examine the historical and biblical context of Deuteronomy 4–6, the spiritual world surrounding Israel, the danger of forgetting God in prosperity, and why remembering God's acts provides a foundation for faith.

Bring the Kingdom — Beyond the Surface of Scripture.
Forty years after Israel refused to enter the Promised Land, a new generation stands at the border.
Before they move forward, Moses takes them backward—through the wilderness, their failures, God's faithfulness, and the victories over Sihon and Og. Their history becomes evidence. They have already seen what happens when fear governs their decisions, and they have already seen what Yahweh can do when they trust Him.
In Episode 1 of A Journey Through the Bible — Deuteronomy, we walk through Deuteronomy 1–3 and examine the historical setting, Israel's wilderness experience, the giants and peoples of the land, and Moses' preparation of the next generation to enter Canaan.
Faith isn't blind. Memory provides evidence for trust.

Are we living in a simulation—and what could an ancient biblical text possibly contribute to that question?
In Proverbs 8:22–31, Wisdom describes being present before the foundations of the world were established. In this episode, we examine this remarkable passage alongside modern simulation theory, artificial intelligence, consciousness, objective truth, and the ordered structure of reality.
Can intelligence arise from a mindless, unguided process? Why do truth, beauty, morality, and meaning seem woven into human experience? Proverbs 8 points us toward an ancient answer: wisdom preceded the world because creation proceeded from the mind and purpose of God.
Bring the Kingdom explores the historical, cultural, theological, and supernatural dimensions of Scripture—beyond the surface.

We explore the importance of historical, cultural, and biblical context, the discipline required to dig beneath the surface of Scripture, and how the Word of God exposes deception while shaping the mind and heart.

What is your heart being guarded from?
In Philippians 4:6–7, Paul describes the peace of God as something that will “guard” the hearts and minds of believers in Christ Jesus. That language is stronger than it may first appear.
In this episode of Bring the Kingdom, we look closely at the historical and biblical background behind Paul’s words, the imagery of a guard standing watch, and the relationship between anxiety, prayer, thanksgiving, and the peace of God.
The promise in Philippians 4 is not merely about feeling calmer. Paul presents the peace of God as a divine protection over the inner life of the believer.
What exactly is being guarded—and what is it being guarded from?
