1 Kings 18:16-45
In reference to the above scripture, Pastor Joel preaches that when we bring the sacrifice, God brings the fire. He then lists three markings of a sacrifice to God: 1) Refusing to give into the status quo, or adopting the attitude of the world. Revival and awakening are opposites of status quo. 2) Moving past hype to holy. 3) Letting God do it, which involves trusting Him. God does not need our help in order to work in our lives; instead we need to sacrifice this need for control and give it all to God.
