We met Nana Firman at the (huge!) Los Angeles Climate Reality training, where she led proceedings for the third day. An urban planner from Indonesia, after the 2004 Tsunami, Nana worked on recovery with the World Wildlife Fund as well as sustainable/resilient city initiatives. After moving to the US, she focused her activism on fighting Climate Change, and especially on engaging local and international Muslim communities in the struggle. She is the Muslim Outreach Director for Green Faith, co-founder of the Global Muslim Climate Network, and a member of the Green Mosque Initiative for Islamic Society of North America. In 2015 she was named a White House Champion of Change for Faith Leaders on Climate.
