It's no secret that hip hop has suffered in recent years. The culture has definitely come a long way but I think it's safe to say that we are in the valley of rhyme right now. We are no where near the peaks that we saw through the 80's, 90's up to the early 2000's.The younger generation has been inundated with mumble rap, grillz and nonsensical lyricism. I've been waiting for the day that some of the older more established wordsmiths make them selves known again.Finally we have that. With new album drops from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre with Missionary, the much anticipated follow up to Doggy Style. Redman with his release of Muddy Waters Too and now Wutang going on a final world tour. The teachers have taken control of the class and it's back in session, forcing the culture to take notice.Hip Hop is coming back in a heavy way and I only hope that this younger generation is taking notes.
