As we kickoff our week of Vacation Bible School, we are going to continue our discussion about the practice we need in the things that Christians do. In fact, we’re going to talk about one of the ways we practice loving people in this week, and the mindset that it reflects. In a world where social anxiety and tribalism dominates our connections (or lack thereof), we believe that being a Christian includes a heart to include those who are different or strange. So this week, we intentionally work hard to invite outsiders into the family and to serve them in love. This concept is familiar, but we’re going to give it some basis from Scripture. Then we’ll turn our attention from ‘discussing’ to ‘doing’ as we launch into a week where we can apply what we’ll hear this morning!
