Sal Powell has just completed her fifth and final ultramarathon, claiming the title of the first Australian ever to run all five “Racing the Planet” desert ultramarathons - the Grand Slam Plus!
That’s five deserts, five ultramarathons and over 1,000kms all in just one year.
Sal Powell told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "It's a sense of relief in one way that it's over, but there's a lot of mixed emotions. It was fabulous; difficult, and here I am, done."
