The Supreme Court temporarily blocked the Trump administration from restricting gender-affirming care for transgender federal inmates. The decision leaves a lower-court injunction in place, allowing hormone therapy and other treatments to continue while the legal challenge plays out. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito would have allowed the restrictions to take effect.

After 15 years of legal battles, Fresno County supervisors have approved Friant Ranch, a massive 2,500-home community near Friant. Most homes would be for residents 55 and older.
