In this episode, John Veitch, Alydar's trainer, discusses what he found out about the facts surrounding Alydar's death, and talks about the long history of the Calumet stallion barn and its occupants, including Whirlaway and Citation. Michael Coulter, Alydar's groom at the time of the incident, relates what Alton Stone, the night watchman, told him the morning after Alydar's death about where he was and how long he was gone. Coulter also details his own observations of the stall door and hardware both before and after the accident, and how Alydar fell the second time. Coulter is the only person interviewed who was an eyewitness.
