Trust is one of the most fragile things we can give to another person. It takes years to build but can shatter in a moment. When someone we love betrays us, the pain can feel unbearable. We wonder if we'll ever be able to trust again.
Psalm 147:3 reminds us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God knows the depth of our hurt. He doesn't dismiss our pain but meets us in it. While people may fail us, God never does. His love is unchanging, His promises are true, and His presence is constant.
Forgiveness does not mean forgetting or pretending the hurt didn't happen. It means surrendering the pain to God, allowing Him to bring healing. Over time, He can restore what was lost, whether it's through reconciliation or through giving us peace to move forward.
If your trust has been broken, take it to Jesus. Let Him hold your heart, mend the wounds, and guide you in wisdom. In Him, you will find a foundation that cannot be shaken—a trust that will never be broken.
