She has over twenty years of experience teaching, mentoring, and advocating for underserved and diverse populations. Angel earned a B.S. in Education and a M.Ed. in Counseling & Psychology. She taught within several U.S. states and worked within the U.S. Department of Defense as an educator and an Army Wounded Warriors (AW2) Advocate. Angel worked abroad in Abu Dhabi, UAE as an Education Consultant and in Portland, OR as an adjunct professor. The core of her personal philosophy is that authentic conversations help to build resiliency in people. Currently, she is a full-time entrepreneur and CEO of Speak Up Sis, LLC. Angel’s mission is to share her story to inspire other women to embrace their own story and to give voice to it in their own unique way.
