[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The name "Bros4America" has always been a play on words meant to be a tongue-in-cheek response to the Bernie Bro phenomenon, the MAGA trolls, and the misogynistic and white nationalist overtures we saw taking hold during the 2016 campaign season. Indeed, we started as "Bros4Hillary" and today, we have a majority-female membership (the resistance is female and we've always known it) and a strong legacy of LGBTQ membership. But, we would be remiss if we did not, in the final episode of the Bros4America podcast in 2017, pick our Bro of the Year 2017.
Panelists Alex Mohajer, Thomas McAbee and Daniel Fusselman ruminated on the ups and downs of 2017 in this all new episode which drops on New Years Eve. Here are their picks:

Paul Manafort Gets It
It was the moment the world realized that it wasn't just in our heads-- the Trump campaign did in fact conspire with a foreign hostile power to influence the 2016 American presidential election... and when Special Counsel Robert Mueller's indictment came in for Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's former campaign manager and the chairman of his campaign, it spelled the beginning of the of the beginning of the end?

The Women's March
It was the impetus for the Resistance movement and not only a preview of things to come but a firm finger on the pulse of the national feeling toward the incoming Trump Administration. As the year unfolded, the resistance proved it was female and so there was no more fitting an occasion to commemorate the moment of the year.
Bros4America co-founder Alex Mohajer has written about the Women's March extensively for the Huffington Post, both criticisizing and praising it, and comparing it to other women's movements around the globe.
Surprise! The Bros have been invited to march with Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) at the Women's March in Los Angeles this January. Last year there were an estimated 750,000 attendees. Here's hoping to an even bigger turnout in 2018.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation="none" css=".vc_custom_1515225513905{background: #ffffff url(http://bros4america.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/qtq80-pGbU9l.jpeg?id=3042) !important;border-radius: 3px !important;}"]

Donald Trump's Inauguration
Shoulda been her.
Whether you loved it or hated it (spoiler alert: we hated it). Listen to the all new episode of the Bros4America podcast to hear the Bros savage the inauguration speech and compare it to the notorious movie villain Bane from the 2012 Christopher Nolan film "The Dark Knight Rises."
At least two of the bros admit to never having watched the Inauguration speech-- they simply couldn't stomach it-- but that the white nationalist overtures and deeply divisive tone were clearly a sign of things to come from the Trump Administration. Indeed, the administration accomplished only one real legislative achievement, if you can call it that, in Trump's tax bill, which was passed right before the holidays in such...
