This Boston-St. Louis Stanley Cup Final will be billed as an historic rematch 49 years in the making, but it's really not. In 1970, the Blues capitalized on a ridiculous NHL rule that required one of the league's six expansion teams to reach the Final. The Blues made it got smoked by the Bruins in Games 1, 2 and 3. Boston capped the sweep in Game 4 with a 4-3 win in overtime, the winning goal scored by Bobby Orr who was captured flying through the air in celebration.
It's one of the great sports images of all time, but also one of the more forgettable championship series in sports history.
