A conversation with Bryan Northup, an environmental artist who creates sculptures and reliefs using single-use plastics and foam. These sculptures, which often look like food such as sushi-like rolls, highlight how our consumption relates to the environment. 

We discuss Bryan’s process of making art from plastics as a method of paying attention to the environment, experimenting with discovery and wonder, how time limits can promote productivity, making as self care, and how being an artist is being a faucet for creativity.
