Bryden Williams was found guilty in 2009 of the 2006 murder of Joel Whitley after an argument over a cell phone at a party. He is currently serving a 50-year sentence in New Jersey State Prison and will not be eligible for release until April 2051 when he will be 78 years old. Despite his attempts to appeal his conviction, claiming that his attorney fell asleep during the trial, the courts upheld his sentence, finding the attorney's inattentiveness to be at most, fleetingly inattentive. This is his story.
