Joining Jake on this episode today is hyper-pop, rock and emo artist Cameron Sanderson, who's been moulding his sound since he was a teenager and has since brought people from around the world, along for the ride. As well as being a singer/songwriter, he's also a multi-instrumentalist, frequently drumming on his tracks and giving him the foundations for his approach to music.
Cameron's career changed in a matter of months when he was a teenager, busking a Bring Me The Horizon song in his local town square, which then went on to be viewed millions of times and gave him the sign he needed that this is a passion he should follow and run to the hills with. Since those early moments, his music has taken him to work with producers and other artists all across the UK, the US and around the world, building a loyal following in the States. It's seen him go onto to work with Magnolia Park, Anson Seabra, and in a full circle moment... the producer of some of BMTH's tracks Dan Lancaster.
At the time of chatting to us on the pod, he's got a big focus on his music of course, but is also utilising the social media space and creating viral content playing live to strangers in chatrooms and getting exposure for his music in new novel ways, including his latest EP 'More' - this is such a cool episode if we say so ourselves and a great insight into harnessing social media in an innovative way as an artist!
NOTE: This episode contains occasional strong language.
