Our final guest of the series doesn't need much introduction, but if he was going to get one, he's responsible for being at the forefront of one the UK's most successful and loved bands in the last 20 years - Roy Stride from Scouting For Girls is joining Jake for this one! It's an incredibly exciting time for Scouting For Girls, who are about to celebrate a huge milestone of their 20th Anniversary, and a great time to look back at the full circle moments that have landed the band in people's hearts over the years.
Roy was so generous with his time and stories in this conversation, revealing all about the earlier moments before the band hit the UK charts with hits like 'She's So Lovely', Elvis Ain't Dead' and 'This Ain't A Love Song' - but also some honest, sound and realistic advice on how the music industry has changed and how different it is for new bands and artists to breakthrough in today's world. It was also pretty cool to hear how Glastonbury Festival was the springboard for lighting the match of their career and how that lead to their self-titled debut album.
In 2026, they have just released their new album, 'These Are The Good Days' and excited about their upcoming UK headline shows next year at Wembley Arena and Manchester, having just done a string of dates over the last few months across the country too.
