Julius Phillips jr. was born and raised in Marion SC. Where growing up was tough, but he was able to find a place of happiness within his art. However it wasn’t until after watching Toy Story in the 8th grade, he realized he wanted an artistic career. So he did what he could to study and hone his craft.

Unfortunately, upon graduating from Marion High School, he found his scholarships weren’t enough to help him push his dreams. So, like many of us, he put his dreams on hold and in the summer of 2000, Julius joined the U. S. Navy. Where he went on to have a stellar career Navel career. And in 2004, he married his childhood best friend Alma and became a father shortly after to his daughter Symone.

He’s currently in the medical field as still draws and works on his craft in his spare time. But Julius hasn’t given up on his dreams. Because he got an idea to become a children’s book author after illustrating a book for family. Since having that idea, Julius has release his first book, “I want to be a superhero” and its sequel, “I want to be a superhero too,” and his third book “Our Daddy’s Love.”
