This week it’s Gaius’ pick and he and Owen deep dive into 2003’s Better Luck Tomorrow, directed by Justin Lin and starring Parry Shen, Jason Tobin, Sung Kang, Roger Fan, Karin Anna Cheung, and John Cho. 

The duo gets into the importance of having a film led by an Asian American cast at the time of its release, how the movie became an indie sensation at the Sundance Film Festival, and how this solo directorial debut led to big things for Justin Lin later in his career.
