Wow it's been a while. Hello and goodbye. The girls have officially made it across the country and back. They finish their story in Chicago, and aside from thunderstorms and expensive Uber rides, the girls absolutely loved the windy city. Their pockets were pretty much empty after their 60 seconds of fame and pretty shoes from the Northridge Mall. Amanda and Noella finish their journey driving through Pennsylvania and getting welcomed into their home state, Connecticut; where the weather just gets shittier and shittier. They welcome a special guest that interviews them about their crazy adventures on the road. After answering many questions, the girls are proud to say that they traveled through 26 states and met people they will never forget. They are so grateful to have supporters from all over the country, and are even more thankful to say that they are just getting started. So... Buckle Up Buttercup.
Amanda and Noella finally make their way to the Grand Canyon. Well, it was definitely grand. So grand, that they only got to see just a small part of the South Rim. Unfortunate... we know. However, they can't get over the most amazing views they've ever seen. Except for the giant beetle with whiskers. Yes, Noella, that would be a cockroach. Utah is beautiful, and apparently so is Noella's hair. Did they find Forrest Gump? No, probably because he's been running for a while now. As the bus is falling apart, so is the sisters' loving relationship. Their arguments are really starting to get cold, quite like the snow that was falling on Pikes Peak mountain in Colorado. All in all, they met some pretty great friends that day, who invited them to the nicest resort in the country, so they say. Anyways, onto Chicago. Yes, big jump...we know.
Amanda and Noella start their week off strong with Colton and coyote siting in Los Angeles, California. Aside from the old creeps and busy streets, they decided to break the bank and enjoy a nice steak on Rodeo Drive. Speaking of drives, getting through Death Valley felt exactly how it sounds. The girls discuss how they made a friend in the span of 48 hours in Sin City. That is, with the help of their handy dandy mobile devices of course. Their ultimate Las Vegas experience included limo rides and banning lectures from bouncers. You might want to buckle up for this one because Noella's skin is burning and Amanda's losing both, her eyesight and her hearing. Next stop: The Grand Canyon.
The girls begin by re-explaining the bus issue. Is it finally fixed? You guessed it! It's not. But don't worry, they still got to see White Sands National Park thanks to Marcus and his car. Who would have thought that being Canadian would have us stopped at an inspection center for half an hour. Amanda and Noella explain their time in Tucson and Phoenix. Alert: Excessive Heat Warning. Oh, also watch out for dirt rodents and rattlesnakes. What are dirt rodents? Ask Noella. Anyways, they've successfully made it to California. 7200 miles later. Thank you San Diego for giving the girls a warm welcome and free drinks!
Happy Birthday, Amanda! Of course the first time it rains in Texas, it happens to be Amanda's birthday. Do they make the most of it? Of course! The girls have met some pretty incredible people in Texas. One friend brings a cake to their campground. Another friend brings over cupcakes and moonshine, and some other friends celebrate hard for Amanda's 23rd. With all good, comes some bad. The bus almost blows up in the middle of nowhere. The sisters are dying of heat exhaustion once again in one hundred-degree weather. They pay one thousand dollars to get the bus fixed... What else? I guess you'll just have to listen to find out!
Tune in as the girls finish up the story of their time in New Orleans. Aside from the creeps in Creole City, they enjoyed their time exploring what felt like a different country. The guy with no teeth and their barbed wire campground left a lasting impression. The girls reached Texas after they almost flooded the Walmart in Baton Rouge. Don't worry, everything happened to get better when they met some unforgettable friends, one of which they met online. Noella really enjoyed her time when she decided to get lost in League City on purpose with Brad and Chad. The girls also tried oysters and crawfish. Do you swallow or chew an oyster? Not sure, the girls were the judge of that. After Houston, they made their way to San Antonio and met their new best friend on the highway. Thanks for the cowboy hat, Reed.
The girls are burnt, bruised, and dripping. Aside from that, they take you back to Miami, where yachts, jet skis, and good company were the highlight of their time in the Magic City. They've come to the conclusion that Amanda should not book the campgrounds and if you see a roach, don't tell Noella. The girls head to Panama City after a pit stop in Clearwater, Florida. The water was indeed clear and the sand felt like flour, but the girls were in for a treat in PCB. Listen to find out how they were bribed for beer in exchange for free beach chairs and jet ski rides. You would say that's a pretty good deal, right? The bribes, however, made for some new friends and some amazing memories too. Amanda got to see dolphins and stingrays, while Noella got burnt butt cheeks and bruised legs. Fun times all around.
Oh, sunny Florida. Yes, finally sun! However, no A/C. The girls feel like they're dying of heat exhaustion. They meet up with their cousins in Orlando, Florida, and explain their eventful time in Universal. Noella loses something very important that day. What, might you ask? Sorry, you'll have to listen to find out. Then the duo heads further south to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, where they spend one night at a sketchy campground and two more fun nights with their college friends. Florida's weather has been great to the girls, but let's wish them luck on finding someone to fix that air conditioner. Anyways, thanks for listening! See you back here next week, k? K.
How's the trip going? Great question. Amanda and Noella finish up their story about the Great Smoky Mountains and how fog was literally all they saw. Hence the Smoky, in Smoky Mountains. They didn't see bears, but the rain was a lovely view. How's the bus? We're not really sure. However, thanks to Aaron and his team, the bus finally has AC. This past week, the duo have traveled through Northern South Carolina, Georgia, and Myrtle Beach. We're not sure how Amanda's kidneys are doing, but one thing we do know, is that she doesn't want kids. The girls introduce their two good friends from Canada and...sorry Riley, but the mic isn't for you. Thanks for being a guest though!
Next stop: Nashville, Tennessee! The girls spend one week exploring Franklin and Nashville, Tennessee. So many places in so little time! Learn what the best food spots are and how to get super drunk in the heart of downtown. Lumos! Yeah, the girls are watching Harry Potter now, who would have thought? We've learned that Noella is not a painter, and Amanda is an idiot when it comes to dares. Other than broken knee caps and hangovers, the girls have successfully driven from Nashville to Sevierville, north of The Great Smoky Mountains. They're loving the torrential rains that are leaking through the ceiling of the bus, but what they're loving, even more, is not having AC. Stick around to hear more about their unpredictable journey. You will not want to miss it! So long for now.
