When Budge (Andrew Burgess) first started Team JMC, it was created out of a desire to have a social group based out of the company JMC.it. Andrew has since sold this company, but he still maintains Team JMC and it’s as big as ever.
With some members setting world records, it would be easy to think that this is an elite team with no room for you to join. Well, you’d be absolutely wrong, you can join if you are simply doing a 5k run round a park, do it with Team JMC and get the support of the team behind you.
Obviously, with the team you can expect to spend some money to be a member, well, again you might be surprised to learn that being a part of Team JMC is free, there are no subs. All you need to do is pay for a shirt with Team JMC on it from them and that’s it, sign up as Team JMC in whatever you do, and you’ll be in the team.
Once you’ve done your event, go to the website and fill in your details. That’s it.
It’s refreshing to see a team of people providing an almost personal trainer style support system, without the hundreds of pounds of fee’s.
Not many events going on this week, here’s the two I saw that fit well with this podcast episode with Team JMC, both these events are put on by the same person:
It’s essentially a workout session in the park, despite it being called Baby Buggy Bootcamp, a baby is not required on the day. I’d recommend checking with Lauren above to ensure that it’s open to both Mummies and Daddies.
