Buena Vista Social Club is a film about a group of aging Cuban musicians, most of whom had been forgotten by the general audience, who are brought back into the spotlight by American guitarist Ry Cooder. The film climaxes with a triumphant show at Madison Square Garden. The music is great, but does the movie hold up?
