On the eve of the announce­ment of the 2019 Polaris Prize long list, we replay our inter­views with two artists that had a big stake in the 2018 prize!

First, we speak with for­mer Win­nipeg­ger, now Mon­tréal pro­duc­er BUF­FLO who served as a pro­duc­er on the 2018 Polaris win­ner, Jere­my Dutcher’s Wolas­to­qiyik Lintuwakonawa.

We also speak with 2018 short­lis­ters Snot­ty Nose Rez Kids, who are in town to play Old Mar­ket Square for this year’s Jazz Fes­ti­val. Their new record Trapline should be a shoe-in for this year’s long list of nominees.
