Lily talks with Krissi Ashton, an ally to the LGBTQ Christian community and an advocate for Christian parents with LGBTQ children. Krissi was raised Catholic and then attended an evangelical church for years as an adult.

Then her son came out.

At this pivotal moment, Krissi was faced with a choice - to believe everything the church had taught her about what it means to be gay, or to educate herself on this topic. After much thoughtful research and deep dedication to understanding her true faith, Krissi found hope for inclusion in the church. It’s now her mission to demonstrate to Christian parents that they do not have to choose between their faith and their LGBTQ children.
