Mary was laid off from her corporate job during the C19 pandemic and decided to open her own wedding and event venue with her mother and two friends. She was drawn to the virtual assistant (VA) world after seeing Jessica Hawk's TikTok and decided to launch her own VA business in October 2021, and her background in graphic design helped her to succeed in her venture.

Mary knew she wanted to invest in her business, but wasn't sure how to go about it. She found me in mid-November and didn't require much convincing. Mary was doing all the things in her business, but wasn't getting the results. She knew her niche was wedding professionals because of the venue, and she knew their fears, pains, and goals. The obstacle she faced was not having a support system.

Mary shares her experience of her now ex-husband not being supportive when she lost her job and started a business, which caused her to not put in her best effort. Her husband was also constantly in her ear about the investment she had made and not seeing results quickly. This conversation was a reminder that having the support of a partner is essential when starting a business.

Mary went through RSA and Scale to Summit with me and is now one of my co-coaches. I’m so proud of how far she has come, even when she didn’t have the support she needed starting out.
