The longevity of anything in life, from institutions to buildings and marriages, depends on its foundation. Throughout the Bible we are encouraged to build our foundation on something that lasts. Not feelings. Not butterflies. Not aesthetics. Certainly not riches. But on a foundation that can stand the test of time.
