The very first poem written down in humanity’s history ,was written by a woman called Enheduanna. She was a priestess in Sumerian civilization and her poem is a prayer of praise to a female deity called Innana. Ancient history records many strong female figures - rulers and warriors , goddesses who inspire our society in the present day. What they may have lacked in physical strength, they are said to have made up for in commitment and resilience in everyday life.
I am on a quest to discover the untold story of game changers leading an extraordinary life, and I am proud to say that this episode is a praise to a woman who builds her brand with determination and compassion. Her personal brand is not a marketing strategy but how she leads her life, her family and her business every day.
Our stop today is Ahmedabad (India) where I talk with Maitreyee Patel, Director Pathfinders Holidays. Maitreyee’s story is a prime example of how a woman could be an inspiration for her community, a conscious leader in her business during challenging times.
Maybe I am the first to interview this amazing woman but I hope I am not the last to praise Maitreyee- who might nor be a personal branding expert but she definitely is the epitome of inspirational leadership.

About Maitreyee Patel
After completing her Schooling from a prestigious boarding school Presentation Convent, Kodaikanal and Graduation with B.A. in English Literature and Economics from Sophia College, Ajmer, Maitreyee became a full time Business Owner & Mother, and mastered the art of balancing Life and Work.
An avid sportsperson from childhood, she was the Games Captain in the School at Kodaikanal, and represented her School at the Inter School Sports meets. Started playing Cricket during the college years, and Proudly represented Women’s Cricket till the National Level playing for Rajasthan State Women’s Cricket Team and Gujarat State Women’s Cricket Team. She has also served as Selector for Gujarat State Women’s Cricket.
A Self-Made entrepreneur and Co-founded her company Pathfinders Holidays, 22 years ago along with her husband Mahendra, Maitreyee has a vast experience of more than 30 years in the Airline and Travel Industry. She is creating and curating luxury holiday experiences for her clients. She enjoys cooking, music and helping people.
Her pillar of strength is her loving husband, handsome son, parents, friends and extended family.
