Building a Successful Brand and a Fulfilling Life as an Entrepreneur with Jake Rhodes

Listen Later

Have you ever been curious about strategies for building and maintaining a successful brand identity in the market? How can you, as an entrepreneur, create a healthy work-life balance while building your brand and growing your business?

In this episode of Healthcare Hacks and Connections, our host, Nate, interviews Jake Rhodes. Jake resides in Indiana and is a happily married father of two beautiful girls. His family is the center of his world, and he is intensely passionate about travel, real estate, and fitness. He has a history of starting and selling businesses, so he is an entrepreneur at heart. He is currently concentrating on pursuing his goals in Routine and Real Estate full-time.

Nate and Jake discuss the benefits of the product, "The Morning Routine," and how it helped the host feel energized and involved during a conference. Jake shares how he started his brand with his wife and the importance of having a morning routine. He then discusses his experience of starting and selling multiple businesses and shares insights on entrepreneurship. He also talks about his life revolving around his family and balancing work with his personal life.

They will touch on such topics as:

  • The Morning Routine and how Jake came up with the product: “For several years, I was trying to work on a way to come up with a formulation to have all of those ingredients, all-natural with zero sugar in it...”
  • The hardest part of launching a business is taking the first step, going from zero to one, which is selling a vision or an idea.
  • The importance of building relationships and having a network of like-minded people.
  • Helping people in tough situations through connecting and sending videos on social media: “It takes 10 seconds to do that. It makes such an impact on the people. And it makes a tighter-knit community.”
  • How he got started in the real estate business and his brand “Real Estate Dynasty”.
  • Jake talks about a fix-and-flip, which helped someone out of pre-foreclosure: “The ultimate goal is a lot of times we will improve the property. And we'll keep it as a rental, like a long-term rental.”
  • His brand Routine is a big part of his morning routine: “90% of Americans are dehydrated. And even a 2% reduction in hydration affects brain function.”
  • Overcoming Imposter Syndrome and finding joy in Business: “It’s all about trusting the process and taking steps one at a time to get there.”
  • Selling a business and building a routine, kickstarting positive change, and empowering his daughters to be the biggest bosses in the world.
  • Entrepreneurship problem solving and discussing how to keep track of ideas and recognize a rough patch in entrepreneurship.

Hack: If you believe in it, people can feel and smell that on you. And then they want to get behind that because you're onto something and people like to help others.
