Hello Pilgrims and welcome back to the podcast.
Gene Edward Veith once said,
“True Christianity…resists cultural captivity. It posits a transcendent moral law that is above and beyond human laws and customs, giving a framework by which cultures can be judged. In doing so, trans-cultural Christianity has managed to shape and transform human cultures.”
Pilgrims, many of us live in a state of confusion when it comes to how we are to look at culture. While the Bible clearly tells us that we are to be in the world but not of it, we also live with the Biblical mandate that God has given to humanity; namely, to “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over it…”
Christians should not reject their responsibility and obligation to create culture. When they do, they not only live in active disobedience to the Creation Mandate, but they also run the risk of leaving an even more godless culture for their children and their grandchildren.
On today’s episode of The Pugnacious Pilgrim Podcast, Mike and I discuss the importance of Christians Creating Culture as we actively work to reclaim culture for Christ.
Thanks again for joining us pilgrims. Enjoy the podcast and stay pugnacious.
