Today’s inspiration comes from Jeff’s interview with Stephanie Baiocchi, Director of Audience Engagement and Community at IMPACT
She stresses the importance of building and organizing a community, simply because conversations always happen in the context of community.
People look for recommendations, answer each others’ questions and others jump in to share experiences.
These discussions happen irregardless of our involvement – so by building and maintaining a community, you get to be a part of that conversation and contribute to it.
As marketers, we know the importance of gearing our marketing to who our audience is and what they’re about, so we can better engage them – we should treat community much in the same way.
