TEXT:  II Kings 3:16

INTRO:  Have you ever heard anyone talking about their plans for, “when their ship comes in?” Yeah, I believe we all have either heard somebody have those day dreams or we’ve dreamed them ourselves. One question I always ponder about those dreams is, “I wonder if they’ve built a dock for that ship to make berth or are they planning to build that when the ship is in view on the horizon?” Most of the time, I can see that they don’t really believe that ship is ever coming in because they are not preparing a place. In 2 Kings 3, we see the story where there was a need, and God had a plan to resolve it. More importantly, we see how our response to God’s promise directly effects the plan.
