Davis McCarty was the worst kid in his art class, but by the time he reached college his skill was impossible to ignore.

​His dreams of becoming a full-time artist were put on hold when he graduated at the height of the financial crisis in the United States. Soon he found himself working in a cheese factory to make ends meet.
