With loads of Southern charm, disarming humor and refreshing humility, Lawrence Sheffield shares his own faith journey, how it led to Magic City Woodworks, how God has miraculously grown Magic City, and how Magic City is impacting the lives of other young men with uncertain futures. Lawrence talks vulnerably about the wound caused by his father's disappointment when Lawrence graduated from high school with a 1.9 average and became a firefighter instead of going to college. Sheffield also discusses the impact of losing his father just as they were beginning to reconcile their relationship. After being led to faith in Jesus by another firefighter, Lawrence turned a woodworking hobby into Magic City in order to help other young men like him who have a chip on their shoulder and don't know where their life is headed. At Magic City they learn a trade, learn about Jesus and learn about being a man through "10 things that require zero talent":
1. Being on time ("showing up")
2. Work ethic
3. Showing effort
4. Body language
5. Energy
6. Attitude
7. Passion
8. Being coachable
9. Doing extra
10. Being prepared
