Reading: Matthew 7:24-27; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15; Ephesians 2:19-22
Devotional: When rains fall and winds rise—and they will—only what's built on the rock remains. Amos traced Israel's trajectory: complacency, comfort, collapse. But the gospel doesn't demand we become rock-solid on our own. Instead, the Rock rolled away, and Jesus came to us. On the cross, the only perfectly built house was torn down to our level. In resurrection, Jesus rebuilds on our foundations, transforming our rubble into His temple. Repentance isn't demolishing everything; it's allowing Jesus to build differently—prioritizing care over comfort, seeking peace with God on His terms, giving our triumphs back to Him. Each small act of obedience—attention, compassion, justice, community—is discipleship, building on Christ the solid Rock.
Reflection: What is one area where you need Jesus to rebuild? Surrender it to Him today, trusting His foundation rather than your own.
