Before you can get started with magick and talking to spirits, all of the things beginners want to do and are often led to beleive they can just start with, you need to build good foundations. This is simply because you want to make sure the "house" (personal practice) you build on top of it doesn't fall down, and so that you don't suffer the unfortunate situation of getting some sort of spiritual psychosis.
