Building the LEGO x Crocs Partnership

Listen Later

LEGO and Crocs have officially announced a new multi-year global partnership, headlined by the release of the LEGO Brick Clogs on February 16, 2026. This collaboration brings together two brands focused on creativity and self-expression. The primary product is a bright red pair of oversized clogs designed to look like a giant LEGO brick, featuring four large studs on the top and a sole with a pattern resembling the underside of a building plate. The retail price is set between 149 and 199 dollars. While the initial drop is limited to adult sizes, versions for kids and younger fans are expected to follow later in the year. Each pair includes an exclusive LEGO minifigure that comes with its own tiny miniature Crocs made from small LEGO plates.Beyond the shoes themselves, the partnership will include the largest assortment of LEGO-themed Jibbitz charms ever produced. For those looking for even more customization, there are creative ways to integrate real building blocks with the footwear. Users can find 3D-printable models online that allow them to create configurable bases for their shoes, supporting builds up to 12 by 12 studs in size. For these 3D-printed attachments, it is recommended to use super glue to secure the first layer of bricks for extra stability. Additionally, independent creators on sites like Etsy offer custom charms made with real LEGO pieces, and simple DIY versions can be crafted using basic studs and a 2x2 brick. This partnership is part of a broader history of LEGO collaborating with other iconic brands. While LEGO and Crocs first worked together on a children’s line in 2012, this new project is much more ambitious. Other notable past collaborations include the 2007 Kellogg’s LEGO Eggo Waffles, which allowed people to build with their food, and the 2009 Muji partnership that combined paper and plastic bricks. More recently, LEGO has teamed up with IKEA for the BYGGLEK storage collection and with Levi’s for a clothing line featuring flexible baseplates that could be decorated with LEGO Dots.Maintaining the quality of these products requires careful handling. LEGO recommends cleaning plastic bricks and accessories by hand using water no hotter than 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) mixed with a mild detergent. Pieces should never be placed in a washing machine or dishwasher, and they should not be dried in an oven, microwave, or under direct sunlight. High temperatures can cause the plastic to warp, which prevents the pieces from interlocking correctly. For any components involving metal or electronics, it is best to use a damp cloth with a mild, non-perfumed detergent. This care ensures that the creative potential of the bricks and the footwear remains intact for a long time. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
