For Ian (Kyle can answer, too. I like when Kyle gives his thoughts): How does someone get into writing comics books as a profession? How did you decide that you wanted to use your skills as a writer to earn a living? I know a lot of folks out there who are interested in getting into comics to do the visual aspect, pencils, inking, coloring, etc, but not quite as many folks seem interested in the writing aspect. For you, was it more of a formal process, submitting applications/auditions, going thru the ol' interview process, or was is it more of a "you have to know someone on the inside" kind of deal? Just curious how all that works. No particular reason why.

I was catching up on old bumblekasts from the span of time I fell behind on them and nearly a year ago you said

There's something that we're working on for 2020 in IDW Sonic where a core component was received well but was deemed inappropriate for the franchise, and I don't mean that in an adult way, I mean that it was "out of theme". (...) So I had to reconfigure things and it lead to some interesting new directions for one of the characters involved

Since we're in 2021 now, is it safe for you to go into more detail about this?
