Australia is home to many terrifying creatures, but there may be one so fearsome that even the natives won't go near it. It is a creature that can mimic the screams of a lost child to lure you to the lagoons it calls home before snatching you to your doom. Although there are various descriptions, they all agree that it is large, aquatic, and dangerous.

There have been bones suggesting that it exists or is a late holdover from the Ice Age. Regardless, the creature remains elusive.
