The Bureau County Soil and Water Conservation District is holding their next Volunteer Day on August 5th, at the McCune Sand Prairie. Volunteers will need to bring gloves to help with the removal of the invasive species called Mullein. Mullein can overgrow and spread rapidly causing issues for less pervasive plants as well as for the beauty of the Sand Prairie in general. Volunteers are needed from 9 Am until 1 Pm on Friday, August 5th. Contact the Bureau County Soil and Water Conservation District to let them know that you would like to become a volunteer.
