Today’s Reflection

After a dramatic spiritual victory, Elijah collapses under the weight of fear and burnout, asking God to let him die. Instead of rebuking him, God responds with tenderness—offering rest, food, and quiet care before any further instruction. This episode explores how wilderness seasons can be marked by exhaustion, not failure, and how God tends to our bodies as well as our faith. Love in the wilderness sometimes looks like a nap, a meal, and the gentle reminder that you are not beyond His care.

A Prayer of Presence

God who knows my every need,

Meet me where I am worn thin. In my burnout and discouragement, feed me with Your quiet provision. Let me feel your presence when the cares of my world feel overwhelming. And teach me that rest is also holy. – Amen
