Burnout Starts with "Tomorrow"

“Life will calm down tomorrow.”

“Next week will be easier.”

On a recent trip to Panama, I realized something uncomfortable.

I fiercely protected some self-care habits — things like walking, lifting weights, eating vegetables.


But other habits I needed - like quiet time alone, meditation, journaling?

I let social pressure or the weather or "just the busy-ness" of the trip take control.


By the end of the week, I was exhausted.

This was the same pattern that once led me to burnout.


Here’s the truth:

You protect what you believe defines you.

Anything still negotiable will lose to pressure.
