Tancredi Cordero is the Founder, CEO, and CIO of Kuros Associates, an investment management company based in London. His unexpected infatuation with financial markets bursted out of a branch of financial literature called behavioural finance, which sees investment results as ultimately determined by human emotions and imperfections. Tancredi is is not just an entrepreneur but also a writer. He became a very young published author at the age of 21 when he published his first poetry book and is today a regular business contributor to media outlets such as the Financial Times, Bloomberg, The Times, Telegraph and others. He also writes his own blog at tancredicordero.com, where he looks at financial markets from his own perspective deeply influenced by a mix of Eastern philosophies and anthropology. The name of his company, Kuros, means black in Japanese, which is the colour of the ink traditionally used to draw the Zen symbol of the infinite. Tancredi began his career in the financial industry at BNP Paribas Investment Partners. He then moved to other leading institutions such as Fidelity and Mirabaud Asset Management. Tancredi then grew deeply dissatisfied with the corporate world and founded Kuros Associates in 2017 inspired by the opportunity to improve the investment management industry as a whole and having the clear goal to create a unique company within a conservative industry like Finance: a company where self-development, meritocracy and human values would be the organisation’s cornerstone and not just a catchy slogan.
