Shane is a former professional basketball player, having played for the Grizzlies, the Rockets and the Miami Heat—where he won two championships. He went on to work as the Heat’s Director of Basketball Development and Analytics and is now an angel investor in several companies he says “aim to reshape industries via disruptive tech.” He and his wife Heidi also founded the Battier Take Charge Foundation in 2008, an organization that provides resources for furthering the education of underserved youth, with a strong presence in Miami, Detroit, Houston, and Philadelphia.
