The South African Government Leaders on Twitter is a newly launched report which aims to prioritize building a capable state through trends and best practice of communicating in the digital age. The purpose of this report is to put a spotlight on the presence and activity of South African government leaders in the Cabinet and provincial Executive Councils on Twitter. The report is quantitative in nature and it does not look at any qualitative elements (engagement, professional look and feel, tone, topics of interest, active campaigns, share of voice, etc.)
