2020 Year in Review and what a year it has been! As we head into 2021, we’ve taken a look back at some of the biggest Busted moments from the year that has affected your community.

It’s clear that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, criminal gangs, scammers and crooks have not taken a rest – instead they have used the new circumstances to their advantage.

We’ve seen drug smugglers, including notable Instagram influencers, get caught trying to sell and smuggle illicit drugs in the community.

There has also been a heap of fraudsters and scammers trying to trick Aussies – whether they are operating fraudulent day care centres and ripping off the taxpayer, or scamming people with fake products.

And illicit tobacco has been a massive problem, with organised criminal gangs ramping up their efforts to smuggle in illicit tobacco during the pandemic.

The biggest story we covered was from A Current Affair where reporters joined police on a raid in Western Sydney to discover the alarming scale of the illicit tobacco trade.
