And, oddly enough, quilting can help children learn math. On Parent Pickup, Matt Bearden reports that recent experiments show how the act of sewing a quilt can reinforce what kids are learning in certain areas of mathematics. Plus, you get to have a quilt when you're done with your assignment. What a win-win situation!
