A sermon preached on 8th November 2020 by Rev Dr Victor Thompson of Stratford New Testament Church of God, on a global communication platform.  The preacher looks at Mark Chapter 9, verses 17 to 29.  In the text a man brings his demon possessed son to Jesus after the disciples failed to cast it out, and a dialogue takes place highlighting the severity of the son's situation.  The preacher shares the fact that Jesus sets the son free and answers a question poised by the disciples as to why they couldn't cast out the demon.  Jesus tells them that this particular kind of foul spirit only comes out but by prayer and fasting.  

Prayer and fasting are a standard requirement for any Christian wishing to serve Jesus Christ in more than just lip service, and the aim of this sermon is to encourage all saints to fast and pray during these last days.
