It should come as no surprise to us that God wants to save us and to sue us to bless those around us. The only reason anything meaningful regarding our salvation takes place in our life is because of God's desire to save us and use us. The same is true repeatedly in Abraham's life. Genesis 20 gives us a great example of that.
