What does it mean for Jesus to increase while we decrease?

In John 3:30, John the Baptist wasn’t questioning his worth or rejecting the assignment God had given him. He understood that his life and ministry were meant to point beyond himself to Christ.

In this episode, we examine what John’s declaration teaches us about Kingdom order, submitting self-rule to the lordship of Jesus, and allowing Christ to be seen through our thoughts, words, decisions, relationships, love, and service.

Our decrease doesn’t make Jesus greater than He already is. It gives His lordship greater expression in the way we live. As we yield to Him, our lives begin to reveal the surpassing worth of Christ.
