Did you know that July is fibroid awareness month? In June of 2021 the Texas legislature passed House Bill 1966 as an initiative to draw attention to and raise awareness of uterine fibroids. Uterine fibroids cause challenges to millions of women each year and over 66% of those women aren’t aware of their treatment options. Join us as we aim to raise awareness of fibroids, discuss why black women are disproportionately affected by uterine fibroids, and we share our fibroid stories.
