The upcoming Xbox Console exclusive game, Avowed, developed by Obsidian, can be purchased using World of Warcraft gold. This is possible due to the game's availability on Blizzard's Battle.net platform. Here’s how it works: Players can buy WoW Tokens with real money or in-game gold and then exchange these tokens for Battle.net Balance. Each WoW Token can be converted into $15 of Battle.net Balance, although Blizzard takes a $5 'tax' from the transaction. At current prices, a WoW Token costs around 262,365 to 273,000 gold. To buy the standard $69.99 version of Avowed, players would need approximately 1.3 to 1.4 million gold, equivalent to five WoW Tokens. Avowed is set to release on February 18, 2025, and will also be available on Xbox Series X and S, the Xbox app on Windows, Steam, and included in Game Pass. This unique purchasing option allows dedicated WoW players to acquire the game without spending real money, provided they are willing to invest the time in gold farming[2][4][5]
